Zoning Board of Appeals

Mayfield Town Zoning Board of Appeals Function

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a quasi-judicial body that handles zoning-related disputes and provides relief from zoning regulations. The ZBA reviews appeals from decisions made by the town's Code Enforcement Officer, such as denials of permits. Its primary functions include granting use variances (allowing a property use not permitted by zoning) and area variances (adjusting requirements like setbacks or lot size).

Meetings will be held on the Fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm, if there is an application submitted.   Requests have to be submitted by the Friday preceding the week of the meeting. A fee of $35 dollars must be submitted with the application.
