The Town of Mayfield Public Beach

The Town of Mayfield Public Beach stands as the last bastion of supervised swimming on the Great Sacandaga Lake, proudly maintaining its tradition of staffed lifeguards when all other beaches around the lake have discontinued this essential safety service. Nestled along the shores of one of New York's largest reservoirs, this community treasure offers visitors not only the security of trained lifeguards but also clean, family-friendly facilities in a picturesque Adirondack setting. For generations, locals and tourists alike have flocked to this beach to enjoy safe swimming while taking in stunning mountain views—a testament to Mayfield's commitment to both recreation and public safety on the Great Sacandaga.

Fees for the beach are as follows: season passes for town residents are $25 and non residents are $50.  Day passes are $10 per vehicle for up to 5 people.
